Meet the Pack!

altKim Lohman, K9 Ranch Manager

Kim is the top dog at Circle L's Canine Ranch! Her love of animals began when she first started working with them at the age of 12, mucking stalls at an equine stable in her hometwon. The years continued with positions including Veterinary Technician at a small -animal veterinary clinic, being an assistant at a grooming facility, and spending several years at the Humane Society.

"The opportunity to work at Circle L Ranch, although something I unexpectedly encountered, has given me the chance to learn more, and experience more, working with rescue animals than I have ever imagined," Kim says. "These are the creatures that can't voice for themselves what they need and lack the ability to stand up for their own rights."

Kim tells us, "My mission is to serve these animals and provide them with the best possible existence for their time here on earth.  I would not trade one moment with these creatures to be any other place- no matter where I turn here I am surrounded by dozens of faces full of unconditional love and devotion."

Circle L has been benefitting from Kim's extensive knowledge and passion for animals for over a year and a half - which in dog years - is the equivalent of 11 years!

altBuck, K9 Caretaker

altBuck is one of the newest additions to the Circle L pack. He has spent the last thirty years living and working in Prescott Valley and just recently accepted the position to work as Circle L's Animal Caretaker.

"I have worked construction for over twenty years and enjoyed every minute of it, but with the housing market decline, I was forced to find another job. Instead, Circle L Ranch found me. Once I met the dogs, I knew it was love at first sight," Buck reports.

Buck's responsibilities include caring for both the "young" and "age-challenged" dogs which reside on both sides of the ranch.

"These are some of the best dogs I've ever met," Buck proclaims. "I have had dogs as far back as I can remember and it makes you feel complete in your heart at the end of the day to know that your helping an animal that has no one else right now. I'm very glad that we all found each other. Dogs dont lie, and are always about the love!"

Cheryl Ann Caldararo (Frosty), Equine Ranch Manager alt

Cheryl has worked with horses and ranch animals as long as she can remember. "It's been a lifelong dream to work on a ranch. When I moved to Arizona that dream came to fruition when I met Debbie and she hired me as ranch manager," Cheryl says.

She hails from back East where she worked as a wrangler at a riding stables to afford the boarding for her horse.

"There is nothing more satisfying then to be surrounded by animals who just love you unconditinally, and to know you are responsible for giving them a good life."

She has evolved her interests to include goats, of which Circle L now has dozens. "I was never involved with the care of goats until I assumed the responsibilities of the ranch manager. It did not take long for the goats to work their way into my heart and I have developed a special love for goats. Every goat has a distinct personality and they can put a smile on your face even in your darkest moment. Watching the goats play around the ranch when we let them out of their pens is something awesome to behold. They are the most amazing animals and continually amaze us with their antics."

Cheryl's new mission in life is to combine her love of riding her Harley with different ways of raising awareness for animal rescue. She is responsible for coordinating and managing Circle L's recent "Pinion Pines Bar & Grill Benefit Run" event, which Circle L plans to have annually.
