Cody (renamed from Bruno) - Mitch tells me that Cody is now "his son." Mitch lost another dog about a year ago and Cody has quickly found a place in Mitch's heart. Cody is learning boundaries and house rules and has easily adapted to his new situation. Any bones or toys he is given are promptly hidden or buried.
Cody has learned what is expected of him and is eager to please by obeying. He sleeps with them so he has definitely "moved in." When Cody first came to them he did not like to have his hind quarters or his paws touched, but now he accepts that. Mitch summed it up by saying that Cody just "needs a lot of love." Cody has become Mitch's sidekick and goes with them wherever they go. Lucky Cody and Mitch for they are happy together and we're happy they're together, too.
Zoey - Robert told me that Zoey is doing great. She had a couple of little accidents but they put in a doggie door and the problem was solved. They are very pleased with her as she is a real "sweetie pie." Zoey gets along great with their other rescue dog and the two rescued cats, even playing with one of the cats. They will be leaving soon for Palm Springs where they will have a pool. Robert knows Zoey likes to swim and so he said he will make sure she knows how to exit the pool for safety. Robert said that Zoey has a pin in her leg from a previous accident which may have happened about a year ago. Since she likes to roughhouse with their other dog, he has noticed she occasionally will wince so he feels it is still somewhat tender. Overall they are delighted with her and it's another happy ending for a Circle L dog.
Jade - Sue informed me that Jade has been spayed, had her shots and is on heart worm pills. Jade has made herself at home and quickly made friends with their three cats. Sue had only recently learned about Circle L Ranch and what we do and she is very supportive of keeping the ranch going. She was kind enough to point out that one of the adoption forms had a previous Circle L address on it so was returned to her. We will be correcting that as soon as we can but in the mean time, all forms and correspondence should be sent to our Ranch in Prescott Valley.
Buddy - John said they are very happy with Buddy. He has a great personality and is such a sweet dog. They have one other dog and the two of them get along famously. This is another dog who quickly moved into the house and into a bed with its owners! John told me this dog has a forever home with them. We love "forever home" endings!
